✨ Becoming Her: The Journey Back to You ✨

It all begins with an idea.

There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she looks in the mirror and realizes…

she doesn’t recognize the girl staring back at her.

Not because she’s aged—because she’s evolved.

Because she’s spent so long pouring into everyone else, she forgot what it felt like to pour into herself.

Maybe you’ve been a mother, a wife, a caretaker, a fixer, a “hold it all together-er.”

Maybe you’ve been surviving instead of living.

Maybe you’ve lost pieces of yourself trying to be everything to everyone else.

Trixie sees you. Because Trixie is you.

🪞Learning to Love the Woman in the Mirror

Loving yourself isn’t about bubble baths and affirmation sticky notes (though I love a good post-it pep talk). It’s about choosing yourself.

Again. And again. And again.

It’s about saying:

“I matter.”

“I deserve softness and joy.”

“I am allowed to take up space.”

Self-love is a daily decision—some days it’s loud and fierce. Other days, it’s just getting out of bed and brushing your teeth when your heart is heavy.

And that’s still love.

💫 Finding Your Identity Again

You are not your job.

You are not your relationship status.

You are not your weight, your bank account, or your past.

You are a whole universe of potential and personality and power.

And if you’ve forgotten what lights you up? That’s okay.

Start small.

✨ Try something new.

✨ Wear what makes you feel alive, not just “appropriate.”

✨ Go places alone. Laugh loudly. Dance badly. Write something. Sing terribly. Take up space.

You don’t have to “find yourself” out there.

You build yourself right here.

💋 And Let’s Be Honest… It’s Not Always Pretty

Some days you’ll feel unstoppable. Other days, you’ll cry in your car over a sad playlist and a broken nail.

Both are valid.

Healing is not a straight line. Confidence isn’t permanent. Growth is messy. But you’re still magic, even when you feel a little undone.

🌷Final Thoughts from Trixie:

To the woman in the process of becoming—

You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t even have to be ready.

You just have to be willing to start.

Start showing up for yourself.

Start speaking kinder to yourself.

Start dressing like the main character—even if you’re just going to Walgreens.

You're not lost. You're under construction.

And baby… the finished version?

She’s going to blow your mind.

With sparkle & self-worth,

Trixie 💋

“Baby Steps to ‘I Feel Wonderful’: A Trixie-Style Tribute to What About Bob”

It all begins with an idea.

Hey there, my glorious Trixie Kings and Queens! 👑✨ Today, we’re hoisting the sails on one of my absolute favorite feel-good comedies: What About Bob? Whether you’re rocking scrubs, spreadsheets, or just trying to adult without spilling your coffee, Bob Wiley’s wild ride has something for everyone. Buckle up—this one’s served with a side of belly-rolling humor just for you.

1. Progress, Not Perfection

“Baby steps, baby steps…”
Bob’s motto is basically the Spotify “chill” playlist of personal growth. You don’t need to conquer Everest today—just cheer for yourself when you manage to put on matching socks or resist the urge to text your ex. Celebrate those tiny wins, darling!

2. Vulnerability Is VIP

Bob’s open-mic confessions of every fear (water, heights, elevators—he fears door knobs) remind us: showing your quirks is hot. When you let your crown slip and reveal the real you, people lean in. So next time you’re freaking out about a big presentation or a first date, whisper it out loud—chances are, someone else is right there with you.

3. Keep Sailing, Bob!“I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful!”

Picture this: our hero, terrified of water, finally grabs that rope, hops in the dink, and—boom—he’s the Captain Fantastic of Lake Winnipesaukee. As he belts out his triumphant mantra, you can’t help but stand and salute. Moral of the story? Throw caution to the wind! Try that salsa class, post your selfies unfiltered, or finally ask for that raise. You deserve your own “I feel wonderful” moment.

4. Boundaries—Because Even Queens Need Their Throne Room 🚪

When Bob crashes Dr. Marvin’s entire world (beach house, therapy office, snack stash), it gets… intense. Healthy relationships need clear lanes. If your inner Bob tries to camp out in your brain, telling you you’re not enough, show him the door. (And if it comes back with luggage? Change the locks.)

5. Laughter Is the Crown Jewel 😂

From bathtub sing-alongs to manic furniture rearrangements at 2 AM, What About Bob? is a laugh riot. Science—and my personal belly ache—confirms that giggles are the best stress-buster. Next time life hands you lemons (or a global pandemic), binge the Merrington comedy: belly laughs guaranteed.

Your Turn, Royal Court! 💬

What’s your favorite Bob moment? Is it the tub serenade? The boundary-pushing breakfast disaster? Or maybe Bob’s epic boat victory? Drop it in the comments, tag your fellow monarchs, and share this post with someone who needs a dose of “I feel great!” energy todTodayeep those scepters high, my kings and queens—because life’s too short not to sail your own ship and shout, “I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful!” 🚤✨

✨ The Beauty in the Glow-Up ✨

It all begins with an idea.

Because Becoming Her — or Him — Was Never Meant to Be Easy… or Quiet.

There's something sacred about the glow-up.
I'm not just talking about lashes, lip gloss, or finally finding jeans that hug your curves just right.
I'm talking about the kind of glow-up that radiates from within — the kind that burns through heartbreak, loss, self-doubt, and every "you'll never make it" whispered behind your back.

The kind that's earned.

Glow-ups don't happen in the highlight reel.
They're born in the silence.
In the chapters, no one claps.
In the tears cried alone at 2 AM.
In the slow mornings when you still show up… even when your sparkle feels dim.

I've learned that true transformation doesn't scream.
It whispers.
It nudges.
It asks you — quietly but consistently —
Are you ready to stop shrinking and start shining?

And one day… without fanfare, without permission…
You say: Yes.

💡 What No One Tells You About the Glow-Up:

  • It's not always glamorous. Sometimes it's just surviving the day and still choosing kindness.

  • It's losing people, jobs, and pieces of yourself — and realizing you were the magic all along.

  • It's replacing self-sabotage with self-celebration, even if your voice shakes while doing it.

  • It's finally seeing the version of yourself you used to only dream about… and knowing they were always in there, just waiting to be claimed.

💖 And Then… There's Their Glow-Up

If you've ever had the honor of watching someone you love find their glow—whew, that's a whole different kind of magic.

When someone close to your heart starts rising…
When their eyes shine differently…
When you watch them step out of survival mode and into their power…
That's a holy moment.

You cheer louder.
You pray harder.
And part of your own healing happens right there in their breakthrough.

Because witnessing someone else glow doesn't dim your light — it amplifies it.

That's what love does.
It doesn't compete.
It claps.

👑 Now Let's Talk About the Men…

To the men out here doing the work — unlearning, healing, showing up, and standing tall with open hearts: we see you, too.

You've been taught to be strong, but rarely taught how to be soft.
You've carried pressure in silence, buried pain behind jokes, and protected everyone but yourself.

But now? You're evolving.

You're choosing therapy over ego.
Peace over pride.
Presence over performance.

And that-that is your glow-up.
It's beautiful. It's brave. And it's long overdue.

So to every man stepping into his worth, his healing, his truth — keep going, King.
Your glow might not sparkle like glitter, but it burns just as bright.

And to the one out there with the brave heart and a badge — who runs toward the fire, not from it — this glow-up looks especially good on you. 🔥🚒

🔥 TRIXIE TRUTH:

Your glow-up isn't about being liked.
It's about being lit up — from the inside out.

So here's to the quiet warriors.
To the late bloomers.
To the people rebuilding their lives in private and showing up in public like nothing ever cracked.

We see you.
We are you.
And baby, your glow? It's not just pretty.
It's powerful.

👑 Leave a Comment:

What part of your glow-up are you most proud of?
And who's someone in your life — man or woman — whose glow-up deserves celebration?
Let's give them their flowers today. 🌸

TRIXIE’S Journal Challenge:

It all begins with an idea.

Simple Steps to Live with Fierceness & Gratitude

Hey, fierce souls—ready to level up your mindset and unleash your inner sparkle? Welcome to TRIXIE’S Journal Challenge, where we pair a dash of badassery with a heaping scoop of gratitude. It’s time to make positivity your default setting, and I’m here to walk you through the easiest, most empowering way to do it.

Morning Magic: Set Your Intention

Before that gravity-defying hair has even seen a brush, grab your journal (or a sticky note) and write one intention for your day. But make it powerful—an I AM statement that centers you.

Example:
I AM wildly creative, and today I will share my ideas without apology.

Say it out loud—yes, even if your pillow rolls its eyes. Hearing your own voice declare your power is like strapping on invisible wings.

Evening Encore: Celebrate the Wins

Life isn’t just about the big victories. It’s about recognizing those little sparks of awesome that light up your day. At bedtime, jot down:

  1. One thing that went well today. Could be nailing that presentation or finally getting your coffee order right.

  2. Three things you’re thankful for. No need for grand gestures—fuzzy socks, your best friend’s meme game, or the sun peeking through your window all count.

Tiny but mighty example:

Win: I made someone smile at Walmart today.

Grateful for:

Fuzzy socks (warm toes = happy heart)

That 2-for-1 latte special

My playlist that kept me dancing down every aisle

Daily Pep Talk: Affirm & Empower

Every. Single. Morning. Look yourself in the mirror (or the reflection in your coffee mug) and say one positive thing out loud:

“Today is going to be a great day!”

Who cares if you’re talking to yourself? You’re planting seeds of confidence that blossom into unstoppable energy.

Nightly Gratitude Prayer

Before you drift off, seal it all with a simple thankful prayer. It doesn’t have to sound churchy or formal—just honest. For example:

“Thank you, Universe, for today’s laughter, lessons, and love. Help me wake up ready to conquer tomorrow.”

Why It Works: Embedding a Positive Mindset

  • Intentional mornings set the tone: You start in “creator” mode, not “reactor” mode.

  • Evening reflections rewire your brain to focus on abundance, not lack.

  • Daily affirmations are like mental push-ups: build strength over time.

  • Gratitude prayers soothe your spirit and prepare you for restorative sleep.

Nobody wants to be a vibe killer—and we sure don’t need more of those. Instead, let’s build each other up, cheer each other on, and flood the world with good energy.

Are You In?

Grab your journal, your favorite pen (you know the one), and join TRIXIE’S Journal Challenge today. Share your I AM intention somewhere—on social media, in your group chat, or on that bathroom mirror. Tag it #TrixieJournalChallenge so we can celebrate every win, big or small.

Now go on—intentionally rock your day with fierceness and gratitude. I believe in you! 🖤✨

🌙✨ TRIXIE’S NIGHTCAP: ✨🌙

It all begins with an idea.

GRATITUDE EDITION

Before I hang up my glitter for the night and crawl under my blanket like a tired burrito of emotions — let’s pause to soak in the good stuff. Because no matter how messy the day was, there’s always something to be grateful for.

💖 3 Things I’m Thankful For Today:

  1. The incredible outpouring of love and support on my new blog launch. You have no idea what your comments, shares, and encouragement meant to me. I’m building this from the ground up — and your belief in me is the glitter on top. ✨

  2. A message from a longtime friend — the kind of friend who’s seen all the chapters, even the ones I wanted to rip out. His loyalty, even during the seasons when I was an absentee friend, and his words of love and support today reminded me just how blessed I am.

  3. That quiet moment mid-morning where I actually breathed deep, looked around, and realized I’m doing better than I give myself credit for.

🌟 1 Thing That Went Well Today:

I chose to keep going — even when it would’ve been easier to hide. And that one little choice? It made all the difference.

💋 You are not behind. You are not broken. You are becoming.

Goodnight, my queens and kings. The crown still fits. 👑

✨ TRIX for Surviving the Day ✨👑

It all begins with an idea an alter ego and a sense of humor.

TRIX for Surviving the Day

👑 My Queens & Kings — this one's for you.

📝 Intention for Today:
Today, we protect our peace, speak our truth, and refuse to audition for anyone else's drama. If it drains our joy or disturbs our vibe? It’s a no from the throne.

🤣 Dose of Funny:
I planned to wake up early, stretch, drink water, and manifest greatness.
Instead, I rolled out of bed like a gremlin, drank day-old coffee, and squinted at the sun like it personally offended me.
But hey — I showed up. Royalty always does.

💖 Trixie Motivation:
You don’t need anyone’s permission to shine.
You are resilient, divine, and built for moments just like this.
Your crown might tilt, your coffee might spill, but your spirit? Untouchable.
Keep rising, keep laughing, and remember — you are the vibe.

Now go be majestic… or just look cute while avoiding your responsibilities. Either way, I see you. 💋

Making Wave TRIXIE UNFILTERED™ BLOG

It all begins with an idea.

🖤 TRIXIE UNFILTERED™ BLOG Episode Recap: How One Thought Shift Can Send Ripples Through Your Entire Life 🎧 Inspired by The Mel Robbins Podcast

Let’s be real, babe. You ever listen to something that hits so hard you just… pause the dishes mid-scrub and stare off into the void like, “Damn. That was meant for me.” Yeah. That’s what happened when I listened to Mel Robbins break down how one internal shift — just one — can send ripples through your entire life.

This isn’t about hustle culture. It’s not about waking up at 5AM, drinking beetroot juice, and manifesting a Tesla.

This is about radical awareness.

💥 “You’re not stuck — you’re rehearsed.”

Mel said something that punched me in the gut:

“You’re not stuck. You’ve just been rehearsing the same pattern so long that it’s become your reality.”

Whew.

Let that marinate. How many times have we told ourselves we can’t change because “this is just who I am”? Trixie used to say that. Now Trixie knows better.

We’re not stuck. We’re stuck repeating. And anything repeated long enough becomes believable — even if it’s B.S.

💡 The Wake-Up Question: “What’s the ripple I’m sending?”

Here’s where it gets juicy. Mel asks us to consider: What ripple are you sending out with your energy, attitude, and habits — even when nobody’s watching?

Not what you want to send. Not what you say you're about on Instagram.

But what you're actually sending — on autopilot.

Are you radiating trust or fear? Hope or survival mode? Confidence or chaos?

Because that energy? It ripples.

🌊 Small Choices = Big Waves

The best part? You don’t have to change your entire life today. You just have to change one small thing.

  • Speak kindly to yourself this morning? Ripple.

  • Set a boundary you used to avoid? Ripple.

  • Quit saying “I’ll never…” and try something anyway? BIG ripple.

Trixie Unfiltered™ is built on that truth: Healing doesn’t happen in one giant leap. It happens in the tiny moments where you choose yourself.

And guess what? Those tiny choices? They add up. They shake rooms. They change bloodlines.

✨ TRIXIE’S TAKEAWAY:

You don’t need a brand-new life. You need a brand-new lens.

When you start showing up differently — even a little — the world has no choice but to adjust. Your ripple becomes a wave.

And babe, this world needs your wave.

👠 Stay unfiltered. 🎙️ Stay legendary. 💋 And don’t forget — even glitter makes ripples.

Love,Trixie

Spirituality vs. Awakening & Awareness:

It all begins with an idea.

When "Believing in Something" Isn't the Same as Becoming Someone New

Hey babe,

Let's start with this:

There's a difference between being religious and being spiritual.

Religious? That's following a structure. A set of rules. Traditions passed down, pews filled, maybe a little guilt sprinkled in for flavor.

Spiritual?

That's different. That's personal.

It's believing in something bigger than yourself. For me? That's God.

For you? It might be the Universe, Source, nature, ancestors, the divine feminine, or whatever helps you get through the dark nights and the big questions.

I don't care what you believe in—

But you've got to believe in something.

Because life is brutal. And beautiful. And weird. And unpredictable.

And without a higher anchor to hold on to? It can feel like you're free-falling through chaos, hoping your broken heart learns to fly.

🔮 Spirituality: The Starting Line, Not the Destination

Spirituality is where many of us begin.

It's the prayer whispered through tears.

The deep breath before a scary decision.

The candle lit for a friend we can't fix.

It's journaling, meditating, talking to God, asking for signs, crying during worship, crying during yoga, crying for no reason. (Been there.)

It's not just about attending church every Sunday. It's about knowing you're not alone in the storm.

But here's the part most people miss:

Spirituality alone doesn't mean you're awake.

You can believe in God and still ghost your therapist.

You can quote scripture and still lie to yourself daily.

You can burn sage and still be toxic AF.

Let's not confuse faith with freedom.

⚡ Awakening: When You Can't Go Back to Sleep

Awareness hits differently.

It's not cute.

It's not curated.

It's not something you can post about and skip the inner work.

Awakening is when the old you starts to rot and the real you begins to bloom.

It's realizing your pain wasn't punishment—it was a push.

It's finally seeing your patterns.

It's calling yourself out lovingly but firmly: "Girl, we're not doing this again."

And it's hard. So hard.

Because being awake means you can't unknow what you've come to know.

You start seeing through people's projections, your own excuses, and the stories you've used to survive.

✨ TRIXIE'S TRUTH: You Can Be Both

You can believe in God and do shadow work.

You can pray and go to therapy.

You can love crystals and hold yourself accountable for your actions

You can speak in tongues and still need boundaries.

Spirituality is your anchor.

Awareness is your compass.

Together? They create a path. A purpose. A YOU that doesn't just survive—

You shine. You shift. You rise.

💬 Final Sparkle from Trixie:

If nobody told you this week:

You don't have to have it all figured out to believe in something bigger.

You don't need permission to evolve.

You are allowed to outgrow the version of you that used to feel safe.

Spirituality doesn't make you immune to the dark—it gives you a flashlight.

Awareness doesn't mean perfection—it means you're finally paying attention.

And if you're doing both?

You're not just surviving, babe. You're becoming a whole damn miracle.

Now go light a candle, blast some worship music, say your affirmations, write that honest journal entry, and then?

Walk like you believe your healing is already here.

Stay faithful. Stay fierce. Stay unfiltered.

Love,

— Trixie

☀️ Fake Tan, Real Glow: Trixie’s Friday Forecast☀️

It all begins with an idea.

Happy Friday, my sun-starved sweethearts! 🌞👙🍹

It’s finally happening. The clouds are parting, the forecast is flirting with actual warmth, and your girl Trixie is officially declaring it: Hot Mess Summer™ has entered the chat.

Now listen—I’m about to spend the weekend working on my summer tan… finally. We’ve waited long enough. I’m pale, pasty, and starting to match my coffee creamer. Not cute. Thank God for self-tanner, though. Because without it? Honey, I’d be two shades away from legally translucent. ✨

But before I start bronzing these thighs and channeling my inner beach goddess (from the driveway, because… gas prices), let me be clear:

🧴 Be. Sun. Smart. 🧴

Nobody—and I mean nobody—needs a side of skin cancer with their summer glow. Wear your SPF. Reapply. Protect your gorgeous face like it’s the last Dior on Earth. I love a golden glow, but I also love being alive. 👒🌞

That said—yes, we all feel a little hotter when we’ve got some color. Something about a tan makes you walk with more confidence, like your thighs are rubbing together on purpose. 💅🏽💃🏾

🌴 Trixie’s Friday Five: My Summer Weekend Must-Haves

1. 🌞 Self-tanner with a prayer: Because streaks are inevitable when you’re multitasking and vibing to some Joss Stone.

2. 🧴 SPF 50 for the face: Trust me, future you will thank you—and so will your Botox budget.

3. 😎 Oversized sunglasses: For blocking UV rays and awkward conversations.

4. 💧 Giant water jug: Because if it doesn’t feel like a gym prop, I’m not drinking enough.

5. 🎶 Bluetooth speaker + a soulful playlist: Think Lauryn Hill, old-school Mary J., and that one Shania song you pretend not to love.

🌞 Weekend Vibes Checklist: Trixie Style

✔️ Lay in the sun (or by the nearest window if you're broke or lazy—no judgment)

✔️ Blast music that makes you feel like the main character

✔️ Exfoliate, moisturize, and pretend it’s a spa day

✔️ Wear the cute swimsuit—even if it’s just for your backyard

✔️ Talk to someone who makes you laugh

✔️ Leave your to-do list in a drawer (you can panic Sunday night like the rest of us)

✔️ Eat the summer fruit. Or the cupcake. Or both. 🍓🧁

✔️ Say something kind to yourself out loud

✔️ Let your body breathe. Let your soul exhale. Let yourself be. 🩷

And to my friends who are struggling right now—whether it's burnout, heartbreak, or just feeling invisible—please know this:

✨ You don’t have to glow to be growing.

✨ You don’t have to smile to be strong.

✨ You don’t have to be okay to be worthy.

You're not alone in the mess or the magic. You're doing better than you think. And I’m so damn proud of you for just being here.

So this weekend, whether you’re laying poolside or laying low—do something that ma

kes your soul feel sun-kissed. Even if it’s just resting.

Xoxo,

Trixie ☀️💖

Who the Hell Is TRIXIE??

It all begins with an idea.

Welcome to Trixie Unfiltered™ — the no-BS corner of the internet where truth sparkles, glitter flies, and we learn to own every scar, stretch mark, and sacred meltdown.

Meet Your Host: Traci…aka Trixie

Hey there! I’m Traci—your everyday woman trying to do it all, mom of three grown kids, and former salon-owner turned nursing student. But around here, you can call me Trixie. (Full disclosure: my parents hate that name—they say it makes me sound like a retired stripper. Which, let’s be honest, would be kind of iconic.)

Trixie doesn’t judge. Some of the most loyal, honest people I’ve known have been strippers, and they’ve had my back more than a lot of “respectable” folks ever did. I will never judge you for your life choices—mainly because, truthfully, I don’t have the upper-body strength to swing around a pole. Though yes, I did consider it once or twice.

Who Is Trixie, Really?

Trixie was born somewhere between breakdown number three and reinvention number seventeen. She showed up the moment I was done being everyone else’s version of “enough.” She’s not perfect, and she’s been through it all:

  • Three divorces

  • Financial chaos (hello, is it unethical to sell feet pics... asking for a friend)

  • Motherhood highs and lows

  • Late-night tears followed by early-morning classes

But here’s the thing: she always gets up, she always shows up—and she always puts on a little lip gloss. No messy buns here (I’ve never had enough hair for that). Trixie rocks a wild pixie cut and a spirit that can’t be tamed—mostly because she doesn’t have time to sit still.

Finding Your Own Badass Alter Ego

Ready to discover your Trixie? It starts when you stop waiting for permission and start claiming space. Ask yourself:

  • Who are you when you’re done playing nice?

  • Who are you when you stop apologizing for taking up air?

That’s your alter ego. Maybe she wears Crocs instead of kitten heels. Maybe she goes by a different name. But she’s the version of you who fights for her joy, who shows up even when her soul is screaming “nope.”

The Glam Gospel

Let me say this loud and clear: no matter what’s happening in your life, you’ve got to get up, show up, and—for God’s sake—put on a little mascara and lip gloss. If you want to feel fabulous, you’ve got to look a little fabulous. Even when you don’t feel like trying, try a little. That’s your war paint. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to care enough to show up for you.

Faith & Funny

Don’t get it twisted—this alter ego wasn’t built on confidence alone. I met God in the dark—right in the middle of an ugly-cry session in my car, praying, “Lord, just don’t let me quit.” And that’s when He whispered, “You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You just have to be willing.” So here I am: willing, sparkly, sassy, a little tired—but always showing up.

No 10-Step Plan Necessary

If you showed up expecting a 10-step blueprint to fix your life, you’re in the wrong place, babe. We don’t need more rules or another self-help routine. Some days, brushing your teeth and not yelling at your kids is the win. This blog is about loving yourself as you are—and evolving until you become the version of you you love the most. If someone doesn’t like it? They don’t have to stick around.

Let’s Ride, Queen

Welcome to Trixie Unfiltered™, your safe space to be real: to laugh, to cry, to fall apart and put yourself back together with duct tape and prayer. Trixie is the glittery, bold, hilarious best friend you didn’t know you needed—but the one who’s here now, telling you:

You’re stronger than you feel.
And you’ve got this.

Stick around for more—Episode 2: Making Waves is coming soon. Until then, remember: life doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful—but it always deserves a little sparkle. 💋

A Few Good Men ( Just a Day in the life of TRIXIE) A story too funny not to share

It all begins with an idea.

There I was, playing my usual role of “Totally Not Eavesdropping Walmart Spy” in the checkout line, when I lock eyes on Mr. Mystery in front of me. He’s got a bouquet so lush it could make Martha Stewart weep, two bottles of whiskey that scream “I’ve got plans,” and a giant vitamin pack that says “I’m trying to live past 40.” Honestly, you can tell an entire biography about someone just by their grocery haul.

The cashier leans in with that conspiratorial wink and coos, “You must be in big trouble, honey—those flowers are stunning!” She practically flutters around him, pitching scenarios: anniversary rescue, apology for forgetting Valentine’s Day, maybe he accidentally joined a florist’s loyalty program. My inner romantic couldn’t help but cringe for this poor guy under the floral spotlight.

So, I clear my throat and jump in with my best “nobody panic” tone: “Or—hear me out—you’re just a really nice guy who likes to surprise a lucky lady.” Because, duh, chivalry is alive and well in Trixie’s world. He turns, gives me that roguish grin, and drops, “Nice guy? I used to be, but my ex-wife saw to it I quit that hobby.”

Without missing a beat, I flash my trademark smirk and reply, “Well, those are still beautiful flowers—and you’re the nicest asshole I’ve ever met.” He bursts out laughing, the cashier nearly chokes on her gum, and I swear I saw the broccoli crown in the next cart salute me.

Driving home, I couldn’t shake his confession about ex-wives and lost niceness. Been there, done that—marriage can do a number on your sweet side. But if that whiskey-flower-vitamins combo taught me anything, it’s that a few good men are still out there, bouquets in hand, ready to prove us romantics right. And frankly? I can’t wait to see what aisle they’re hiding in next.

Finding Your Alter Ego: Unleash the Badass Within

It all begins with an idea.

Ever feel like you’re living someone else’s script? Like the world expects you to play a specific part—and you’re just not that person? Me too. That’s why I created Trixie Unfiltered™, the space where we ditch the masks and let our fiercest, most authentic selves shine. Today, we’re diving into one of my favorite topics: how to find—and rock—your very own alter eg

Why You Need an Alter Ego

  • Break free from limitations. Your everyday persona carries all the baggage: self-doubt, people-pleasing, and a pile of “shoulds” on top of “shoulds.” Your alter ego? She doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

  • Tap into hidden strengths. Maybe you’re soft-spoken in meetings but a powerhouse on stage. Your alter ego bridges the gap between who you are and who you aspire to be.

  • Boost confidence on demand. Interviews, presentations, tough conversations—summon your alter ego and watch imposter syndrome evaporate

Step 1: Give Her a Name (and Honor the Origin)

Names carry power, and mine has a story to tell. One day, a new friend met me and blurted, “You look like a TRIXIE, not a Traci!” Just like that, the legend was born. Your alter ego’s name should:

  1. Resonate with you. It might be inspired by a moment, a compliment, or a hidden part of your personality.

  2. Feel distinct. When you say it, you should feel a spark, as if you're calling on a superhero version of yourself.

Step 2: Define Her Superpowers

What qualities does your alter ego embody? List 3–5 traits that you admire:

  • Fearless. No challengeis too big.

  • Charismatic. Own the room with magnetic energy.

  • Relentless. Obstacles only fuel her fire.

  • Compassionate. Strength with a soft heart.

Write each trait on a sticky note and post it where you’ll see it daily.

Step 3: Craft Her Look & Feel

Visual cues are powerful triggers for your brain. Maybe your alter ego rocks:

  • A bold lip color (hot pink, crimson, gold).

  • A signature accessory (statement necklace, leather jacket, glittery hat).

  • A power pose (hands on hips, chin up, shoulders back).

Next time you need to channel her, slip on that lip color or drape on that jacket—it’s like suiting up for battle.

Step 4: Develop Her Origin Story

Every hero has a backstory that fuels their journey. Yours might start with that offhand compliment from a friend:

“When Amy saw me in that leather jacket and told me, ‘You’re a Trixie,’ I felt seen for the first time. That moment lit a fire under me to show up—fully unapologetic—as my boldest self.”

Tell that story daily to reaffirm your potential.

Step 5: Practice, Practice, Practice

Your alter ego doesn’t magically appear—she’s built with intention:

  1. Visualization drills. Spend 2–3 minutes each morning imagining yourself as your alter ego navigating the day.

  2. Power moments. Before a nerve-wracking event, tap your fist on your chest, take three deep breaths, and speak her name. Feel the shift.

  3. Post-action reflection. After stepping into her shoes, jot down what went well. Celebrate—even small wins.

Bringing It All Together

Finding your alter ego isn’t about impersonation—it’s about unlocking parts of yourself that have been waiting for release. She is the most authentic, fiercest expression of your values, strengths, and dreams.

So call her name, suit up, and let the world see the real you—unfiltered, glittering, and unstoppable.

Things I’ve Unlearned at 49

It all begins with an idea.

At 49, I’ve finally made peace with the fact that some of the most powerful life lessons don’t come from what we learn, but from what we unlearn.

I’ve unlearned the idea that being liked is more important than being real. I’ve unlearned the belief that success looks like exhaustion dressed up in designer bags and a fake smile. I’ve unlearned the need to be available to everyone, all the time, for everything.

Unlearning is holy work. It’s digging through years of emotional clutter, dusting off your core self, and saying: “There you are. I missed you.”

I used to think:

Being busy made me valuable. Now I know the rest makes me functional.

Saying yes made me kind. Now I know saying no makes me free.

Having a flat stomach meant I was worthy. Now I know peace with my body is the only six-pack I really need.

Here’s the truth I stand on now: You cannot build a full, joyful life on half-truths and people-pleasing. You cannot climb to your highest self if you're carrying a backpack full of “shoulds.”

So, if you’re feeling lost or behind or like it’s too late for you, let me lovingly slap that thought out of your head. It’s never too late to become who you were always meant to be. It’s never too late to trade burnout for boundaries. To replace shame with grace. To upgrade fear into faith.

Moving on means letting go of the heavy expectations that never served you. Moving up means rising into your boldest, most authentic self—unapologetically, and maybe even with a touch of glitter.
